Born in 1914, Mrs. Griffin, along with her brother Bill, operated the multi-million dollar Varflex Corporation. Dorothy Griffin was an active community advocate who watched the Rome community evolve and transition over the years and she recognized the needs of the community and was committed to giving back to the area in which she helped in growing a successful business. Her support and contributions to Rome Hospital Foundation have been numerous and generous. Her recognition of the importance of quality healthcare for our community continues to serve as an inspiration to the many philanthropic members that support our mission.
